What the app does with your data.
A plain-language summary of how VersiBible actually behaves today, mirroring the Privacy screen inside the app. It is a description of real behaviour, not a formal legal policy.
Your reading stays on your device
Your plan, settings, saved verses, and what you've understood are stored locally on your phone. The app works fully signed-out, and nothing here is required to use it.
Signing in is optional
If you sign in with Google or Apple, your progress syncs to our backend (Supabase) so it follows you to another device. Sign-in uses the provider's own secure flow — the app never sees your password.
AI explanations and the study mentor
When you ask for an explanation or chat with the mentor, the passage reference and your question are sent to our backend, which calls Google's Gemini model to write the answer. We don't attach your name or account to those requests.
Bible text and study sources
Chapters, commentary, and cross-references are fetched from the public-domain Free Use Bible API. The app's Sources & credits screen carries the full list.
No ads, no tracking
There are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app. We don't sell data, and we don't build an advertising profile of you.
This website
This site is a showcase. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads nothing from a third party, and has no form to submit. Every button on it either scrolls the page or does nothing at all.
